Date: 03-15-06 01:24 We went snorkeling again on the MorningStar (www.morningstararuba.com). However this time we had a special guest. Jasmine, or jassie for short, their four year old daughter. Talk about adorable from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet...and when she Speaks ...It will just melt you.

. There are dinner cruises on the Island , but none like this... There are restaurant’s, were you can put your feet in the sand...have Great food....and watch the Sunset...but none like this...None that just cater to you and your Special someone.

My advice to Captain Marciano and First mate Kat is to keep doing what your doing , and the way you are doing it. In the states we rate hotels using the star system, 5 stars being the best. Well if they were rating a Special memorable experience in Aruba , the Morning Star would receive the 5 star rating!

I introduce Angela to Captain Marciano and ask if she can come aboard with us to see the ship and to take a couple pictures...and he says “ sure “...We all get into a small boat and motor out to the Morningstar ( she’s 40 ft. long and beautiful )....Kat meets us and helps us board. Angela takes pictures of us, and asks Kat if she can go down below and take pictures

While Angela is down below, she takes pictures of my Locket I got Georgene. She comes up and says she would like to go on the sail with us, but she needs to run. We say are goodbys and I Thank her for coming, and she says “ It was her pleasure “ and this will be in there paper in a couple days. Captain takes her back to shore, and then comes back.

So it’s Captain Mac....First Mate Kat....Georgene and I....and we set Sail. The weather is just like about any day in Aruba.....FANTASTIC.......This Sailing thing could be addictive....and I thought the Lighthouse was magic.....( hang on to your shorts )....Kat brings out some fresh fruit and we have some beverage...With easy listening music in the back ground ( Jimmy Buffet )....We make small talk and talk about our anniversary....our 3 sons...about their daughter Jasmine ( she’s 4 ) and we get to our first spot to snorkel....The water is a little choppy, but it should be fine....Mac comes with us, while Kat stays aboard.

He leads us around to see the most Coral we have ever seen ( he was born and raised on the island ) and knows everything thing you would want to know about the waters of Aruba. We get to see lots of colored fish and I got to see my first Star Fish. We snorkel for awhile and then head back to the ship. Marc’s not happy with the waters...he feels there to choppy and going to not be the best for snorkeling right now, and he says if we want....his day off is Monday and If we want we could snorkel more then. That’s ok with us..but I tell him not to worry about it..

I will tell you....That when you board their ship....There are 2 things you will feel.....You are going to be Safe and Pampered. We sail and talk about the island....Did I say that I Love this Sailing thing. I pinch my self just to make sure this is real. Kat brings out some Dutch cheeses and cracks.

I’m sitting here....Georgene is leaning against me...and I want to Freeze this moment in time....The wind....the motion of the ocean....we have our Health...we have each other...Life is as good ...as You want it...to be.....My Words will not be able...to do justice to this Moment...I will assure you.

We go down below ...and Kat shows us around....Wow.....This is the Life. Georgene and I change into our Dinning clothes ( it’s here that I am Glad Georgene takes more time than me) ha...to get ready....I go up above and Papa Wito and Mamma are here....Georgene starts to come up, and she sees Wito...and Goes ....” What are you guys doing here “....and I go “ Surprise “...I thought it would be nice if they had Dinner with us and to celebrate our anniversary “.....and Georgene hits me on the leg and says ....”Well...you dog you “.ha....Have you noticed....she calls me a Dog a lot. ha She has No IDEA. I see Kat down below and she has her Chefs White Uniform on....and Marc is in a Tux...and I tell Georgene to look...They get dressed up to serve us.

Papa Wito and Mama are sitting with us, and we are talking back and forth....and the Sunset is about 20min. away. Captain comes up “ looking very Sharp..and barefoot “....we are all barefoot and Kat is right behind him and looks at me and says “ are we ready “ and I go “ sure “....I know Georgene thinks ( are we ready...means to eat. )....

and I just lean over close to her.....pat and rub her leg...and say....( Oh - Hey...by the way )...We are going to Renew our Wedding Vows now..

Well it’s right here that I will tell You.....Maybe I should have told her sooner....I planned a lot of things, but what I didn’t plan on is how Emotional she was going to be....I knew she would be Surprised....Excited... Cry a little ...but Holy Cow...she just fell apart....Crying...with her hands up to her face...trembling....I put my arms around her...and I am crying...I am not sure how long this went on, but it seemed like forever. I pulled her hands away from her face.. And I looked in to her eyes...

.We were alone....Just her and I....No people....No ship...We weren’t in Aruba...( It was like we were suspended in time )....I could feel her Heart racing... against mine

. I was able to get her calmed down ...a little...and when I looked at her face...her make-up had run so bad...and along with how tan she was....She looked like...( my little...Indian Squaw )..on the War Path. ha

She gets her face cleaned up a little and we are standing before the Captain....Holding hands.....George is still trembling...or maybe it’s me....It’s here that I will say to you All....I don’t remember much.....I remember the Captain saying....”Do you Dan...and well...That’s about it....I couldn’t look into her eyes...my eyes were so welled up in tears....Even tho I had planned this...and I think because of Georgene’s reaction there was a little bit of shock going on....Georgene say’s she also doesn’t remember what was said

After we had settled down...It was time for Dinner....The sun is setting and the Dinner candles are lite ....We all had Red Snapper ( caught that day ).....Kat was busy in the kitchen, and Captain Marc....well...he did all the serving....The food...the presentation....the service....was unbelievable....it was a 5 Star meal from the appetizers...to the Dutch coffee at the end...We toasted champaign ....and I gave Georgene her Locket...She cries again and says “ It’s the most Precious gift You have ever given me...She opens it up and ...You guessed it...She cries again...She sees are Wedding picture of 28 years ago....and reads my inscription ..” All I am...I owe to You..Love Dan “... She is crying saying ..” I didn’t get anything for you “
...and I say.....”Oh - My Dear - What You have given me...Money can’t bye...and Time will never replace “...If you haven’t noticed...There was a Lot of Crying tonight.

Over the coarse of the next 3 hours...with Papa and Mamma Wito....we laughed.....and talked about our lives together...about this Island we All Love....The time went by so fast....Having Papa and Mamma Wito their.....made this night so Special .....

To Share Special moments in our Lives... with Family and Friends...To be able to get that Second chance....To have Georgene by my side....My 3 Sons growing up....Healthy and Strong....

You can go ahead and Ask Me......Do I Feel Lucky......You bet I Do!!

After our second cup of coffee ( which was the Best we tasted on the Island ).....I had to Yell down below...that we were ready to go....Not because we wanted too...but because....with my stomach full....and the rocking motion of the ocean...if I didn’t start moving....I was going to be ...Snoring like a Freight Train - That’s Romance...at it’s finest. Ha

We say are goodbys ...and Captain Marc says he will call us Sunday afternoon about snorkeling on Monday. We Kiss and Hug Papa and Mamma Wito and head on home.

My husband and I were in Aruba in Sept. of '03. We went on a private dinner cruise that was pure perfection. My husband swears he has never eaten a better meal and the sunset was spectacular. The couple who own and charter the boat went above and beyond to make our every wish come true. Check out www.morningstararuba.com.

Good Luck.

I would highly recommend any cruise with Katrin and Marciano. We did a morning brunch cruise with them only because we didn't want to stay overnight where we already had hotel reservations. Kat and Marci were the best hosts and did a fantastic job. 'Was definitely the highlight of our trip. 'Did some snorkeling and had a wonderful meal. 'Very pleasant couple to be on board with and didn't mind being served by them as well. I would not hesitate booking with them but book early as they are both quite busy. 'Once in a lifetime experience that we are still talking about and will be for quite some time. They went out of their way to make us happy -- from the pillow under my head while taking in the sun to the pillow under our feet at dinner. Food, company, and boat were fabulous. Have a great time!

Here is a section of my trip report regarding your question.

The 2nd surprise for my honey was a privately chartered dinner cruise aboard the Morningstar. Its a 40' sailboat owned and operated by Marci and Kat. This was
AWESOME! Marci and Kat are great hosts and make you feel like part of their
family. After a relaxing sail around the area,(with cocktails in hand) we
anchored and Kat,in her chef's uniform, prepared a scrumptuous 5 course meal.
This leisurely, delicious, candlelight dinner was served by Marciano, under the
stars, in his maitre'd uniform. A quiet sail back to their mooring and an end to
a perfect night!
-
At sunset, sitting together, hand in hand, on the water, with your sweety, in
Aruba---jeez, how romantic is that?
-
Thanks Kat & Marci for an unforgettable trip! We'll see you on the next trip!
-
My wife thought that was soooooooooooo sweet of me. It gave me a lot of brownie
points I can use for future screw-ups!!!
