I did---It was awesome--very romantic- Cat and Marci treat you like old friends. My wife was awestruck ( it was a surprise to her). You cant go wrong with this charter. WE took the dinner sail you are referring to. - After a relaxing sail and a few cocktails, we anchored in a quiet cove, they set up a candlelit table for us and Cat prepared a great 5 course meal- It was served by Marci in his maitre d' uniform. Everything was just SUPER!! I am sendin you the link to their website. If you need any other info contact me at falconnj@hotmail.com

The time we spent with Kat and Marci last weekend was the hilight of our trip to Aruba. I warn you now that if you spend an evening on Morning Star you will easily become addicted and want to return night after night. The food and service were first rate! The boat is spacious and well kept. I consider myself a below average sailor and left believing I could skipper the next America's Cup. Do yourself a favor, skip a dinner in town and spend an evening on Morning Star.

My husband & I recently visited Aruba with some very special friends and while we were there they celebrated there 25th wedding anniversary. Before our vacation we searched for something unique to do and chose to charter the Morningstar sailboat. I think I would have to say that it was one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. Marci & Kat who own the boat were the best Captain & Cook I've ever met. The entire time was pleasurable, romantic & fun all rolled it one. I highly recommend them and hope that everyone that goes to Aruba gets to take home the memories that I will never forget. Debbie

My husband and I vacationed for our anniversary in Aruba Dec/Jan 04. My husband booked New Years Eve - our anniversary on the Morningstar. They were absolutely fabulous - picked us up on the beach - we had drinks on the front of the boat - transformed into a tux and served us delicious surf and turf. We then sailed around the island and watched the most incredible fireworks I've ever seen - hours of them!

Their hospitality was outstanding. It was worth every penny and more! I want to go back this year!

Recently my bride and myself chose Aruba as our Honeymoon destination. We were very pleased with this decision as the island was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to. One highlight to our trip that I need to let everyone know about was a private sunset dinnersail that I chartered as my wedding gift for my wife. I originally found the Morningstar from a post on this board months ago. I was very fortunate to have read that post which convinced me that this was something we needed to do. The Morningstar is a 40’ sailboat that can be chartered for fishing expeditions, diving/snorkeling trips and of course romantic sunset dinnersals. After corresponding via email with the First Mate and Cook of the boat, I was pleased to see that all of my expectations were more than met. The Captain of the Morningstar picked us up at the De Palms Pier where our night started. We sailed down from the highrises to the lowrises and back to the north tip of the island and set anchor near the California Lighthouse where we nibbled on cheeses and grapes. As the night began to fall, the Captain opened a bottle of champagne where we toasted to one of the most beautiful sunsets we had ever seen. Dinner was absolutely amazing, where their attention to detail was unsurpassed. This was something that we will remember forever. Absolutely a great experience. You can reach the Morningstar by email sailmorningstar@hotmail.com or call them at Aruba at Tel. 7365620 or 7423068.

I agree..the Morning Star is well worth the expense. We have cruised several times with Marciano and Kat and have always enjoyed out time out on the water with them. I can't say enough about their service and attention to detail...not to mention the memories that I have. The Morning Star is the best kept secret on the island!! I can't wait to go back and book another trip with them.

Yes Rich. I agree with your wife. One of the highlights of my trip. Kat and Marci are the nicest and hardworking people I met on the island. The cost is all relative. I gave up some dinners out and tours to afford this cruise. Morningstar is worth every penny.

We were recently in Aruba.
One of the highlights was going on the Morning Star.
Since I did not see much about it on the board i thought i would share myexperience.

Morning Star is a 40 ft sailboat. I chartered it for my wife and i for 5-6 hours including dinner.
We were picvked up in a dinghy in front of our hotel (the radisson)by captain marci and taken to the boat. Met kat on board and went sailing. open bar (lots of choices)and snacks provided. Moored and went for a swim.
A table was set up on deck (white table cloth, floweres etc. soft music) and we had a wonderful dinner served to us as the sun set. (Fresh caught grouper, lobster, salad, shrimp cocktail, wine) by our butler (actually the captain in a tux!)
My wife still cant stop talking about it.

Kat and Marci are some of the nicest people we have met anywhere, not just aruba. Will definetley do it again and worth the $

My husband and I returned from Aruba Monday. We were there Oct 11-20 for our honeymoon. My wedding present to him was a private sunset sail on a 40' sailboat, the MorningStar. All I can say is that over 10 days, that was hands down the most memorable activity we did while on the island! Kat and Marciano (couple who own the boat) planned a 5 course meal, drinks, champagne and after dinner drinks while providing an atmosphere that was perfect! We snorkeled before sunset, drank champagne and took photos at sunset, ate an incredibly cooked meal - more food than 2 people could EVER eat, and allowed us one on one time under the moonlight to capture the moment! Since this was a gift to my husband, I wanted to make sure all was PERFECT. This went way and above his expectations - and he couldn't believe I had planned such an incredible night. Kat and Marciano can be reached at sailmorningstar@hotmail.com. I read about them on this message board about 3 months ago. Anyone wanting referrals or specifics can email me at cushma@bellsouth.net. It is about $100 an hour - and they are so willing to cater this to your specifc needs! I had to post this and tell EVERYONE coming for their honeymoon or just a vacation with their significant other. This is not one of those "group" sunset cruises. This is YOUR cruise!

Just wanted to tell everyone about a truly GREAT experience we just had in Aruba. I took 7 friends including musicians Crosby, Stills and Nash on the Morningstar sailboat and it was the highlight of our trip to Aruba. Captain Marciano was fantastic and his wife Kat perpared the most awesome fresh fish lunch for us. We went diving/snorkeling, relaxing and sunset sailing. Thanks to Marciano and Kat, I can't wait to return to Aruba!

Thanks also to Arianne (concierge at the Hyatt) for arranging all the great activities for us on the island.

Best regards,

Steven Sponder
